Are there ghosts? This is just a personal belief but I personally think that there’re ghosts. Why? Based upon my personal experiences and research of historical accounts, there seem to be many evidence of ghosts. Whether we believe in it or not, that is just a matter of our personal choice and it doesn’t affect anyone in any single way because ghosts are just like you and I, they’re just in another world now. They sometimes can be of more pity then an alive person.

One story I’ve got off of Wikipedia was that there was this philosopher in Athen that rented the haunted house that people was talking about and he stay there and wait for the ghost to come out. The ghost did come out and it was just a thin shadow of an old person with shackled hands and legs to a chain. The ghost ask the philosopher to follow him and within several feet the ghost disappeared. The philosopher mark the place where the ghost disappear and ask people to dig under that mark the next day. They then said that 3 years later, they found a body with bones that are shackled to a chain. They then burry the body properly and the haunting stopped. What an interesting story that was recorded. One important point from this story is that the ghost wanted to be found and be burry so that he can rest. He was also shackled and chained so we know that this was a murder. Ghosts tend to haunt places that they die at. The exact location that they die is where they’ll be haunting. Their personal belonging are also what they’ll be looking for. I do believed that these are true because in my country there use to be haunted house all the time because people bury their dead ones in the back yard. In in my country, there’s no rule and so you can do whatever that you want with the corpse. I don’t think it’s a good practice to bury right in your own backyard but people do all the time.

This is why there’s a lot of haunting at places that people die. They will haunt at the house that they die in or espcecially if they were murdered. They usually haunt if they were murdered because they have unresolved business on this side. They tend to go to the other side of the world once they have settled their business here on Earth. This is why you need to help those that have been murdered so that they can rest. This is why priest and monk ceremony for the dead is important. It’s a way to help their spirit go to where they need to go. It’s a guide. It’s neccesary sometimes. You should do this when someone die. They needed to be guide to their proper places.
