Are there ghosts? This is just a personal belief but I personally think that there’re ghosts. Why? Based upon my personal experiences and research of historical accounts, there seem to be many evidence of ghosts. Whether we believe in it or not, that is just a matter of our personal choice and it doesn’t affect anyone in any single way because ghosts are just like you and I, they’re just in another world now. They sometimes can be of more pity then an alive person.

Why do I believe in ghosts or care about it? Ghosts for one is a very mysterious concept that the world have been wondering about. Historically, ghost is one of the common topic that famous authors wrote about like Dicken’s book a Christmas Carol, which is a ghost that appear during Christmas to intervene in Scrooge’s life to make him a better person. Scrooge was a very selfish and greedy man who wouldn’t care about anyone or give anyone a penny but after meeting this ghost he changed completely. Famous authors have been hunting ghosts too. I’m just another curious person about ghost.

One story I’ve got off of Wikipedia was that there was this philosopher in Athen that rented the haunted house that people was talking about and he stay there and wait for the ghost to come out. The ghost did come out and it was just a thin shadow of an old person with shackled hands and legs to a chain. The ghost ask the philosopher to follow him and within several feet the ghost disappeared. The philosopher mark the place where the ghost disappear and ask people to dig under that mark the next day. They then said that 3 years later, they found a body with bones that are shackled to a chain. They then burry the body properly and the haunting stopped. What an interesting story that was recorded. One important point from this story is that the ghost wanted to be found and be burry so that he can rest. He was also shackled and chained so we know that this was a murder.
