Buddhism doesn’t require any more than any other religion. Like any other religion, befiefs and practice happens within your heart not anywhere else. You can’t wear a yellow robe and shave your head and find nirvana. The same with Christianity, you can’t just go to church and find God, God will come to your heart and your soul. Religion is not a physical entity but a spiritual one. Religion changed you from the inside out.

Religion is about feeling the power of the creator and the love of the creator. It’s living your life in a way that the creator want you to and treating your neighbor the way God want you to. Religion is finding the truth and living your life knowing that truth. There are many different types of religion in this world but one single goal and that is to know about the creator and live knowing about the creator. We want to live in according with the creator’s will and we want to heal ourselves through the process of knowing God. The form of religion is not important anymore once you know that there’s only one creator in this world and that is who you need to discover more. It’s wrong to worship someone who is not the creator. If you do that then you are believing blindly. You could very well be worshiping the devil. You could be wasting your time worshiping someone who is not the ultimate God and can’t help you with anything and doesn’t exist.

Before you go on to believing a different deity other than God, you have to learn first who is the real God. The real God is the creator of the world and the universe. Although we give him many names through different country but you need to recognize that there’s only one creator of the world. He’s the almightly God that is present everywhere.

If you want to believe in Buddhism, ask yourself if Buddha is a creator or a powerful deity. I think Buddha is a deity instead of a creator. There are many deity but only one creator. Just like the computer, it doesn’t pop out of nowhere, someone must have design it and made it to work. Therefore, the creator design the universe and make the universe what it is. You should believe and connect with this all powerful God instead of any other deity.

Buddhism is not such a bad religion if you want to follow it. Buddhism stresses the same thing as any other religion and that is to live kindly to all organisms on Earth and to refrain from sinful activities.

If you want to convert to Buddhism then you will need to be kind to all living creatures and this include animals and ants. Therefore, you are not encourage to eat meat of any kind and only vegetables. It’s harder than being a Christian because the religion doesn’t requires you to not eat meat. You are not allow to kill any kind of animal if you want to believe in Buddhism. You have to refrain from all sinful activities and those include drinking, infidelity, stealing, lying, cheating, and killing. You have to visit the temple and make donation sometimes.
